Scott Flugman, MD

A board certified Dermatologist of the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Flugman graduated summa cum laude from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine.  At SUNY Buffalo Dr. Flugman was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.  He received his residency training from University Hospital at Stony Brook.

His practice centers on Medical Dermatology with special interest in Aesthetic Dermatology, skin surgery, phototherapy and allergy testing.  His cosmetic practice includes cutting edge treatments such as botulinum toxin, wrinkle fillers, lasers (for brown spots, skin redness, and tattoos), and Ulthera. 

Dr. Flugman has become a referral source for papular dermatitis, a condition that is notoriously difficult to treat.  He has published research on papular dermatitis, and received national media attention for a research paper on “Mexican beer dermatitis.”  Furthermore, Dr. Flugman's online chapter on Stasis Dermatitis is read thousands of times per month on the WebMD/Medscape website.

Dr. Flugman is affiliated with SUNY at Stony Brook where he is on the faculty at the University Hospital’s Department of Dermatology.  He is also on the staff of the Hofstra University School of Medicine.
